Koa Boxes

There is nothing finer than a jewelry box made with beautiful Koa wood grown only in Hawaii. Martin & MacArthur offers many different styles of Koa boxes that are perfect for to use as a jewelry box, gentleman's valet, recipe box, or even a letter box on your desk or dresser. All of the Koa boxes we feature are made in Hawaii by the finest craftsmen in the state. Our Hawaiian craftsmen use the beautiful, figured Koa wood to make small and large boxes for every use and occasion. The Tsumoto Koa boxes are also beautiful and come in a variety of sizes. Roy Tsumoto makes this finest boxes for us, using only specially chosen Koa that he and we agree is the best in Hawaii. Each of these Koa boxes is one-of-a-kind and cannot be duplicated because of the unique grain and color of the Koa wood. The Yamauchi Koa boxes offer a clean, contemporary profile that is perfect for both men and women to use at home or in the office. Bobby Yamauchi makes his Koa boxes exclusively for Martin & MacArthur. The Dellera boxes are now made by his apprentice Chuck Dominguez, who was once a craftsmen in our furniture workshop. Chuck continues the classic Hawaiian designs of the Dellera boxes. What's different is the special Koa that Chuck chooses for the boxes he makes for us. We ask Chuck to give us only his finest boxes with deep, rich grain patterns, that are highly-figured.

The Martin boxes are made in Hawaii by our own craftsmen. We make the only Koa boxes with curved sides, inspired by the classic shape of the Hawaiiancalabashbowl, or umeke. These boxes come in three sizes. When you lift a Martin box, you feel the weight of solid Koa panels which are thicker than any other box. Be sure to check out our Tansu box.
