Koa Business Card Pocket Case

$34.00

This elegant business card case features a Koa Wood veneer top. Koa wood is indigenous to Hawaii and has been the hard wood of choice in old Hawaii for making canoes, weapons and furniture. Missionaries and merchants settling in Hawaii in the 1800's quickly fell in love with this beautiful wood, noted for its lustrous grain and texture.

The craftsmen at Martin & MacArthur make this Koa business card case at their workshop in Honolulu, HI.

DA GUITAR. Hawaii artist Tim Nguyen captures a beautiful Hawaiian woman playing a guitar. Warm and passionate. Romantic and peaceful. I can almost hear the music from the delicate strumming of her guitar. Matted prints and original only at our stores and right here --> http://www.martinandmacarthur.com/art-by-tim-nguyen/art-by-tim-nguyen/guitar-girl-28x20-limited-edition-giclee

SEGMENTED KOA VESSELS. Kona craftsman Gregg Smith created these two large segmented vessels for our Whalers Village store. I love the Malie lei carved around the middle of the biggest one. Perfection!

THE KOA HUMIDOR. Here's an early Father's Day idea, or a great gift for anyone who loves cigars. The Martin Koa humidor is made exclusively for us by a Hawaii craftsman Chuck, using curly Koa from the Big Island and is fully lined with fragrant Spanish Cedar from our own private stock. The passive humidifier is positioned below a vented cedar bottom. Koa makes it perfect. At select Martin & MacArthur stores now and right here --> http://www.martinandmacarthur.com/boxes/boxes/dominguez-koa-humidor

ROVAL HONU. What do you get when you create a raku vessel that's round and oval? A "roval." That's what Will Jacobson calls his gorgeous raku with a honu on the lid. I love the way the colors seem to glow. Will has perfected this age-old art of raku. At select Martin & MacArthur stores like Whalers Village, Wailea, and Kings' Shop Waikoloa.

FLOWING KOA PLATTER. This beautiful, lathe-turned platter is made by Big Island craftsman Tim Shafto. My eyes can't help but follow the soft, flowing curves of the translucent resin. It casts light in a stunning way. Quiet grace and elegance. I love this!
