Martin & MacArthur has been making Koa rocking chairs for over 50 years, longer than any other company in Hawaii.  The company's founder, Jon Martin, started the company in 1961 with the desire to make the most beautiful furniture in the world from the world's most beautiful wood -- Koa.  Jon's very first furniture piece was the Slat Back Rocking Chair, which is still the company's best selling piece of furniture.

All our wood rocking chairs are made from solid Koa harvested from the Big Island.  Each of our classic Hawaiian rocking chairs is built individually by a master craftsman in our Furniture Workshop in Honolulu, Hawaii.  No assembly lines.  No outsourcing.  Skilled craftsmen with over 25 years experience make each of our rocking chairs.
