Hawaiian designer Jalene Kanani creates a home collection inspired by her profound love for her Hawaiian cultural roots and things authentic and genuine.
In Hawaiian, the word “Noho” means to dwell or come from within. Home is not the walls you dwell in, but the overwhelming feeling of love and comfort in your own space.
Jalene’s collection of soaps, candles and diffusers features combinations of scents everyone from Hawaii knows. It is made with natural oils and botanicals from Hawaii.

Puakenikeni: The puakenikeni flower, or simply "pua", is indigenous to New Guinea and Northern Australia. It is grown in most Polynesian countries and its blossoms are a favorite in Hawaiʻi for their beauty and alluring scent. Reminiscent of lei-making and her days as a hula dancer, Designer Jalene invites you to experience and enjoy a fragrance from her tropical island home.
Gardenia: Beloved throughout Hawaiʻi for their impressive blooms and sweet-smelling aroma, the fragrant gardenia blossom is the perfect scent for our second NOHO HOME candle. Known as Kiele in Hawaiʻi, gardenia flowers are popular selections for Hawaiian weddings, proms, lei, and beautiful hair adornments.
Pīkake: In ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, the word pīkake translates to "peacock" and is well-known as the favorite flower of Princess Kaʻiulani. Like the graceful movement of its namesake bird, the scent of Pīkake blossoms dance through the air with a bright, familiar fragrance that is cherished throughout Hawaiʻi.
