Sydney by Beth CooperARTM43329
Beth Cooper was born and raised in Kailua, Hawai’i. The beach and ocean are her playground. After graduating with a Fine Arts Degree in Textile Design, Beth became a Wild Land Fire Fighter, then a School Teacher for at-risk kids in lock-up, and middle school students. After living on the Big Island for 23 years, Beth moved to Maui to be a full time artist.
Besides her art, she keeps busy with back packing where ever there are high mountains. She’s hiked to Everest Base Camp, the Washington section of the Pacific Crest Trail, and many mountain miles in the western states.
Her colorful pieces of art make you smile. Her style is fauvism, a style of painting with vivid expressionistic and non-naturalistic use of color.
Her work is found all over~ Purple coconut trees are found in Texas, hot sunny beaches are found in Canada, and tropical flowers and papayas are found in Tennessee and North Carolina to name a few places.
