Susie Lewis
ARTIST BIO
Susie Lewis studied photography and painting at the Camden Art Center in London, earned a degree in fine art from Oregon State University, and worked as a graphic artist for 23 years.
Lewis moved to Maui and opened her studio where she creates paintings, photo collages, and mixed media assemblages. She engages the viewer’s imagination through the use of vivid color, exaggerated light and shadows, rich textures, luminosity, and a blend of real and fantasy elements. She hopes to create environments where reality and imagination merge.
Much of Lewis’s work is created using handmade pastels on paper. She also works with oils, acrylics, watercolors, photography, and mixed media.
