The Hawaii craftsmen of Martin & MacArthur designed the first solid Koa wood watches over a decade ago. We hand-select highly-figured Koa wood from our private stock harvested from dead or fallen trees in the Big Island. Today, we feature over 30 innovative styles of Koa wood watches for every taste, style and price preference. Our most popular watches feature Swiss-made Ronda movements and sapphire crystals for extreme scratch resistance. Our premier Koa watch is the Monarch, which boasts of a self-winding, automatic movement with 21 jewel precision accuracy. The Monarch has a see-through skeleton face and an ultra-comfort band featuring five links across.
Our Koa watches are made to be worn. The more a Koa watch is worn, the better is it looks because the oils of the skin enhance the patina of the beautiful Koa wood.

We are committed to ethical sourcing and sustainable operations. Each of our Koa watches is made from Koa that we hand select from private plantations on the Big Island. We only use Koa from previously fallen trees. We never cut down any Koa trees. We never use Koa from live trees that are cut down. In fact, by using fallen trees, we remove these dead trees from the forest allowing new Koa seedlings to sprout and grow. This is natural reforestation for which we have been a leader for our company’s entire history.
