Martin & MacArthur craftsmen create one-of-a-kind Koa pepper grinders buy lathe-turning solid chunks of Koa from our private stock. The time-tested grinding mechanism is made with cast iron for durability and strength. Truly a perfect addition to your dining table or kitchen. Perfect for the chef with a flair for gracious entertaining. Our Koa pepper grinder is not meant for Salt. Do not put salt into this grinder.
Martin & MacArthur only use Koa from previously fallen Koa trees on the Big Island. We never cut down any live Koa trees and we never buy Koa that has been harvested from live Koa trees. Martin & MacArthur is a leader in Koa reforestation by removing dead Koa trees from the Big Island forests and fencing off the land so that cows and pigs cannot eat the young Koa seedlings that sprout within weeks of removing a dead tree.
