After studying at Pratt Institute in New York and receiving a bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Susan spent almost 30 years in a beautiful career painting ceramic tiles with glaze. She completed many commissioned murals, interior and exterior, including commercial projects for hotels and restaurants. 

In 2008 she took an oil painting class and was hooked. Susan has a deep passion for the landscape and the natural world and is an avid outdoor enthusiast. When she is not painting she devotes her time to land conservation and sits on the board of directors for two land trusts. Her time spent outdoors painting open lands and historical sites deepens her convictions for conservation. Susan splits her time between the Pacific Northwest and her island home of Maui.
